Summer 2k17

Howdy! It’s been a longgggggg time since i’ve posted. Sorry about that. I’m going to tell you about amazing things that happened this summer.

Sometime in July, I went to this 4 day christian church camp with my sister. Of course we were nervous because it was our first time going, but we were comforted by some friends that went also. This camp we went to is called Illuminate, it’s pretty cool. Tweens and Teens (mainly teens) socialize with each other, play cool games, listen to guest preachers, jam out to praise and worship music, and help out around the community.

During free time, just before service, we would all sit with new friends, laugh, and talk about how our day was. There was other things that went on to, but these are just the main points.

I enjoyed the devotionals and sermons alot, and praise and worship time. I can’t wait to go next year!

Happy Late Mothers Day!

Sorry about the late post. Yesterday was mothers day, and my moms birthday!

Alot of shows, and kids these days think that parents are “in the way” are “keeping you from having fun” (Here’s a big one) “Ruining my life” and “they don’t understand teens like me”.

First of all, those are lies. Your parents are never in the way, they just want to help you. Parents never want you not to have fun! ex. if it’s a birthday party, and your going to a friend’s house, and your mom or dad don’t want you to go, it’s not that they don’t want you to have fun, but it could be dangerous. I went to a friends party before, and me and my sister were BEGGING my mom to let us go! Well, she gave in. My sis took her phone with her. We had fun for a while, but then kids started smoking while parents weren’t watching, parents were drinking in front of kids! Bad music was playing. Thankfully nothing happened, but my sister and I felt VERY uncomfortable. We should have listened to mom.

Your parents never EVER, ruin your life! If they take away a phone, or anything, it’s for your own good. Remember they are your parents, and they don’t want you going down roads they went down. Most parents even let you have social media! If you’re complaining that they have their email on instagram, snapchat, WordPress, etc. Get over it! What if someone talks smack or cusses you out on there. They will be able to see it first and fix the situation. Also, be thankful that they are giving you a wordpress or instagram etc. they trust you enough to have it and not post junk, or talk to complete strangers, right?

Of course your parents understand you, they were teens/kids once to. Don’t ever say “You don’t understand teens like me” because it probably gets them annoyed, and gets you punished more. That’s totally disrespectful to.

A lot of shows for kids push these things ever so softly. Kids seem to think “Oh I would never say that”, but sooner or later, it gets so stuck in your brain, that it blurts out!

Whenever you feel like your parents don’t “love” you or don’t understand you. Take a look around! You have a house, clothing on your back, food at the table, toys, a room, and a mom and dad that willingly kiss you good night. They could be on a date night, and leave you home alone! But they chose to be with you, because they love you.

Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

Proverbs 20:20 If one curses his mother or father, his lamp will be put out in utter darkness.

Proverbs 23:22 Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother.

Happy Late Mothers Day! Happy Birthday Mommy!💛

Happy Easter

Happy late easter!

Bible Talk

Matthew 28:6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay

If Jesus didn’t rise there would be no hope. And we wouldn’t get to spend an eternity with him. We would be punished for our sins in Hell. But he loved us so much, he arose from the dead. On his own. He walked out of the grave, conquered death, and now has made a way for us to have eternal life with him. All we need to do is ask him to be our savior.

And none of this could have been accomplished and given to us if he didn’t rise.

Matthew 26-28

Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out…

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
